PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Men's Basketball topped Truman State 69-47 on Thursday night to end the calendar year and non-conference play.
Bradley led Truman State 31-25 after the first 20 minutes. The Braves tallied 20 rebounds and seven on the offensive side with nine second chance points. They also had 16 points in the paint, five steals and three blocks.
Duke Deen led the Braves in points with seven in the first half. Malevy Leons collected six points, four rebounds, one steal and a block. Darius Hannah recorded six points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists.
The Braves defeated the Bulldogs on Thursday night by a final score of 69-47. Bradley ended the night with 45 rebounds and 17 offensive rebounds. They had 30 points in the paint and 20 second chance points.
Leons ended his night with 15 points and eight rebounds. Deen landed three three-pointers and 13 points with four rebounds and five assists. Hannah collected 11 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
Christian Davis and Almar Atlason both tallied nine points. Off the bench, Kyle Thomas had five points and four rebounds in eight minutes.
Looking Ahead
Bradley will open the new year at Valparaiso on Jan. 3 at 7 PM to resume Missouri Valley Conference play.
They come back home for a two-game homestand with Missouri State and Evansville. Bradley's game with the Bears is on Jan. 6 at 3 PM. The Braves face the Purple Aces on Jan. 10 at 7 PM.
