PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Baseball head coach
Elvis Dominguez made a special addition to the 2024 roster, signing Tucker Jones (Trivoli, Ill.) to a National Letter of Intent during a ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 30 at Renaissance Coliseum.
From nearby Trivoli, Ill., now seven-year-old Tucker Jones was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2019. Tucker completed his treatment at OSF Children's Hospital in Peoria, Ill., in 2021. Tucker is an avid baseball fan and enjoys painting, camping and playing video games. Team IMPACT partnered with Bradley Baseball to connect Tucker and his family with the team.
"We are thankful that Tucker is able to join the Bradley Baseball team," said Coach Dominguez. "We are grateful that Team IMPACT has partnered with us to fulfill Tucker's wish. Bradley has had a history with partnering with Team IMPACT in years past with other programs and we are delighted to work with them to bring Tucker and his family into our program. He's already enjoying spending time with his new teammates and the team has enjoyed his presence."
The mission of Team IMPACT is to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses by establishing and expanding vibrant team-based support networks.
