The Braves and Bulldogs met for the second time this season at the Knapp Center in Des Moines on Thursday night.
The Braves were in for a tough challenge against Drake, who defeated Bradley 87-58 in Peoria. Drake came out ready to play and shut out the Braves for the first half of the opening quarter. Assists, threes and fastbreak points were the name of the game for Drake. The Bulldogs dished out 23 assists compared to Bradley's 7, made 10 threes while the Braves made six, and out-scored BU on the fastbreak 21-0. Bradley ultimately lost 49-81.
Ruba Abo Hashesh,
Caroline Waite and
Alex Rouse all scored nine points in the game. Abo Hashesh also had three rebounds, two assists and one steal, while Rouse had two rebounds, two assists and one block.
Isis Fitch and
Daija Powell combined for 14 rebounds.
