Boca Raton, Fla. -- Florida Atlantic University bests the Bradley Braves in Wednesday's game.
To finish the Florida swing and road trip, the Bradley Braves traveled to Boca Raton to take on the FAU Owls. The Owls beat the Braves 15-2 in Wednesday's game.
Freshman Easton Harris earned his first start of the season and faced trouble early in the first inning. With runners on first and second and no one out, a diving play up the middle by TJ Manteufel helped the Braves turn a double play and eventually get out of the inning unscathed.
The Braves scored two runs in the top of the second, their only two runs of the day on two bases-loaded walks.
From there, it was all FAU as the Owls scored 15 runs in the next four innings. The Owls took the lead in the bottom of the second after a solo home run by Dylan Goldstein, a hit by pitch and a walk. In the third inning, Goldstein would homer again.
In the fifth inning, the Owls delivered the final nail in the coffin with a grand slam from Jackson Ross. Ross ended the day with two hits in four at-bats with six RBIs.
FAU held Bradley to just four hits on the day. Connor O'Brien, Peter Hansen, Jackson Chatterton and Logan Delgado all collected hits for the Braves.
Junior outfielder Ryan Vogel had his 11-game hitting streak snapped in today's game.
