The Braves defeated Evansville 61-51 at Meeks Family Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon, splitting the season series with them.
In the final game of the season, the Bradley Braves picked up their first conference win and snapped a 22-game losing streak. The Braves came out ready to play against the Purple Aces, grabbing the lead early on in the game. They would hold onto that lead for 37 total minutes. Despite only shooting 15% from three, Bradley shot 38% from the floor and 73% from the free throw line, going 19-26 from the charity stripe. The Braves grabbed 43 rebounds compared to Evansville's 34 and snagged three more steals. The Braves saw their hard work pay off in this game, never once taking their foot off the gas once the game began.
Alex Rouse led the way for the Braves with 16 points, six rebounds, one assist and two steals.
Caroline Waite had 15 points, two rebounds and one steal.
Isis Fitch claimed another double-double on the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
