Galesburg, Ill. -- The Bradley Tennis team picked up a win over the weekend against the Western Illinois Leathernecks.
The Braves blanked the Leathernecks 7-0 on Saturday in their road match to move their record to 4-5 on the season.
Doubles Recap
Two of the doubles matches went the distance but the Bradley Braves sweep all three matches.
Madalena Andrade and
Kirstin Hailey picked up a 7-5 win over Lara Diniz de Souza and Maria Rybka of Western Illinois.
Anna Belogliadova and
Maria Bezmenova picked up a 6-3 win over Paige Grice and Lorena Catellanos.
Alex Hildreth and
Madi Rogers combined for the third doubles win in 7-5 fashion as well, over Lucky Kancherla and Aina Cortina-Pou.
Singles Recap
After taking the point in doubles, the Braves took a clean sweep in singles play as well. Not one set went further than 6-4 for Bradley in singles play.
Belogliadova won 6-1, 6-4 over Grice.
Mariia Pukhina won 6-4, 6-0 over de Souza.
Hailey picked up a win 6-1, 6-0 over Catellanos.
Bezmenova won 6-0, 6-4 over Cortina-Pou.
Andrade won 6-1, 6-1 against Agatha Carbonell.
Hildreth won 6-1, 6-1 as well over Rybka.
What's Coming Up?
The Braves are off until they head out for their spring break trip which includes three matches in four days. Bradley will face Southeastern Louisiana, McNeese State and Southern University on their road trip.
