The Braves met the Missouri State Lady Bears in the opening round of the MVC Tournament and were defeated 53-71.
The Braves found themselves trailing early as Missouri State came out of the gates hot, making basket after basket. Bradley couldn't seem to find shots, but when they did, those shots weren't falling. The Lady Bears forced 12 turnovers in the first half, and by the end of the game, the Braves had 19 turnovers and converted 15 points off of them. While Bradley grabbed 26 total rebounds, Missouri State grabbed 42, 21 on both the offensive and defensive glass. The Braves also snagged four steals compared to the Lady Bears' 14. The Braves shot 37.8% from the floor, 60.0% from three and 92.9% from the free throw line.
Ruba Abo Hashesh led the way for the Braves with 13 points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Caroline Waite had 15 points and one rebound.
Isis Fitch chipped in seven points, six rebounds and one assist.
