Bradley jumped out to a hot start in the game one by taking advantage of a great start by RHP
Jacob Kisting who went seven strong innings. Kisting faced 26 batters and recorded seven strikeouts while allowing only one walk. BU's offense was fueled by the top of the batting order with
Ryan Vogel and
Logan Delgado driving in two of Bradley's three runs.
Adam Brian would follow up in the bottom of the fourth with a SAC fly to bring
Easton Harris. Neither team would score in the 5th or 6th innings but Valpo would turn up the offense in the top of the seventh with a two-run home run and RBI single powering Valpo to a three run half inning to push the game to 3-3. The game would stall out until the 10th inning where a throwing error would score the lone run in extra innings for Valparaiso.

As seems to the be the trend this season for BU, weather forced Bradley and Valparaiso to play a Saturday double-header. It was an up and down two-game set for Bradley with the offense coming in bunches in the first game on Saturday and a lack of offense being the name in the second matchup. However there were still plenty of positives this weekend for BU as the bats found more power over the last two games in the series with three home runs being recorded by Micheal Mylott,
Jackson Chatterton, and Matt Breidenbach.
Looking Ahead
Bradley will look to rebound after a tough weekend at Dozer Park with midweek action on the horizon. The Braves will set their sights to Iowa City for a Wednesday night game with the Iowa Hawkeyes. BU will also have a weekend series against at Dozer park starting on Friday when the Illinois State Redbirds travel to Peoria to renew the I-74 rivalry.
