Peoria, Ill. -- The Missouri Valley Conference has released its list of Scholar-Athletes for the 2023 season in Women's Tennis and Bradley University's
Madalena Andrade has made the first-team list.
In order to be nominated and selected for the scholar-athlete team, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve, hold a 3.50 GPA or higher (4.00 scale), must participate in at least 75 percent of the regular season matches and must be of sophomore standing, academic and athletically. Additionally, student-athletes must have finished one full academic year at their respective institution.
Andrade is finishing her second season at Bradley after transferring from Alabama State. The Torres Vedras, Portugal native is a three-time MVC Doubles Team of the Week winner with her partner
Kirstin Hailey. This season, Andrade holds a singles record of 9-10 and 3-4 in conference play. She is 8-10 in doubles play. Andrade is a two-time honoree of the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll and MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award winner.
