Champaign, Ill. -- Jack Crull wins the 1500M to highlight day one of the Gary Weineke Memorial in Champaign.
DAY ONE HIGHLIGHTS
Bradley sophomore
Jack Crull from Jefferson City, Missouri won the 1500m race in a brilliant time on 3:44.78 to win the event in the first day of the Gary Wienke Meet Friday in
Champaign, Illinois. Crull's time puts him in contention for an NCAA bid.
Peyton Schieppe finished fourth in the women's 1500m. The O'Fallon Illinois freshman moved into the top ten on the Bradley list with her finish. Another Freshman,
Trixie Wraith from
Hertford, England finished seventh, and Ashley McGuire was ninth. Each notching their season best's.
Shae Fuller finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 18'3 ¼. The Lauder Lakes, Florida sophomore's mark was her second best at Bradley.
Coming off of an injury, Bloomington, Indiana sophomore Amiya Davis finished sixth in the 200m.
The Freshmen class showed well all day long as Ajax, Ontario's
Robert Stan ran a season-best in the 400m hurdles good for seventh place.
On the women's side in the 400m hurdles, junior ran a 1:09. Monett, Missouri native's performance put her in Bradley's top ten.
In the 300m Men's Steeplechase, junior
Remi Chavenaud finished third, freshman
Caden Simone was sixth, and sophomore
Brandon Kamp was eighth.
In the 5000 m Steeplechase, Metamora native and redshirt freshman Ian Laughlin turned in a personal best time of 14:50.47 and finished eighth.
