Game Recap: Baseball | | Cody Roskens
Peoria, IL. The Bradley Braves 12-23 (4-11) lose their season series with the Illinois State Redbirds 13-22 (4-11) after both offenses put up big numbers.

Game Recaps
Game 1 | Friday, April 21st | Bradley 9 - ISU 16
Win | Derek Salata
Loss | Jacob Kisting

The Illinois State offense got off to a hot start in game scoring 16 runs in a seven run win. The Redbirds where lead by Shia Robinson, Daniel Pacella, and Auggie Rassmussen who combined for 11 of Illinois State's RBIs. Robinson collected all three of his RBI's on one swing which resulted in his first career home run. Bradley meanwhile played what would be the first of three games over the weekend that didn't involved their star first basemen in Connor O'Brien. In his absence Bradley's offense still managed to put up big number on the scoreboard. As a team Bradley recorded 11 team hits and six RBIs, Cole Lucky, Logan Delgado and Easton Harris all tallied two hits a piece for BU in game one.

Game 2 | Saturday, April 22nd | Bradley 0 - ISU 9
Win | Cameron Mabee
Loss | Jacob Norris

After a high scoring game one of the series Bradley and ISU met early Saturday morning to kick off game two. Much like game one, Illinois State didn't wait long to get on the scoreboard. ISU would score four runs in the first four innings off of a balk, two SAC flies, and an RBI single. This put BU behind the ball early and the bats weren't able to gather many timely hits as BU stranded one or more baserunner in scoring position four times. Cameron Mabee for Illinois State went seven full innings of work recording three strikeouts, two walks, and four hits on 94 pitches. Bradley's Jacob Norris and Travis Lutz went the full game in combination for BU. They recorded eight strikeouts, four walks and 15 hits through all nine innings.

Game 3 | Sunday, April 23rd | Bradley 19 - ISU 3 in seven innings
Win | Noah Edders
Loss | Jayson Hibbard

Yes, your read that right. Bradley the day after being shutout by ISU came to the ballpark in the series finale ready to swing the bat. The Braves connected on 15 pitches for hits, six of which where extra base hits. Noah Edders was named the started for game three and Edders took full advantage. He collected two strikeouts, three hits while walking four in his five complete innings. Anthony Potthoff and Josh Flack each came in to record a single inning of work as the Braves run ruled ISU through seven innings (10+ run lead after seven innings). Bradley's batting order was highlighted by Cole Lucky who went 4-4 on the day collecting 5 RBIs.

Looking Ahead
Bradley will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host the Illinois Fighting Illini. BU's weekend series will be in Chicago when they take on the UIC Flames.
