In the fourth inning the Illini went up 5-3, but Cole Luckey responded with a run on a wild pitch, bringing the Braves within one.

The Illini added to their lead in sixth with an RBI double, but the Braves came back with one after a RBI single by Logan Delgado, leaving the score 5-6.
