Last Time out for Bradley
The Bradley Braves traveled to the University of Evansville to face off against the Aces in a three-game series. The Braves dropped Friday's game 9-7 before taking Saturday's game 13-6. In the rubber match, Bradley fell 7-2.

Notable performances from the weekend include Logan Delgado driving in five runs, including four RBIs on Saturday, Jackson Chatterton's three RBIs on Saturday and Ryan Vogel going 5-for-13 across the series. Connor Langrell also notched his 11th save of the season, one shy of tying Matt Dennis' single-season save record.

Series Preview
Bradley will welcome Belmont in the two teams' first matchup since 2020. In the matchup, Belmont defeated Bradley 8-7 at Belmont. The win marked Belmont's first victory against Bradley since 2007. Bradley and Belmont have split the all-time series with each team being 7-7.

Most recently, Belmont lost to #9 Tennessee, 9-5, at the University of Tennessee. In conference play, Belmont is 8-16 in the team's first season in the MVC. Belmont's most recent Valley action saw the Bruins defeat Valparaiso 5-1 to win the series against the Beacons, two games to one.

Trends to Watch
Belmont:
       •  No qualified Belmont hitter has a batting average over .300. Belmont's top hitters are Mason Landers with a .292 batting average and Sam Kirkpatrick with a .291 batting average.
       •  Landers also leads the team with 12 home runs and 38 RBIs.
       •  Belmont's pitching staff has struck out 195 batters in MVC play, second most in the conference behind Missouri State's 207 strikeouts.
       •  Andy Bean has a 2.52 ERA in MVC games, fourth lowest in the conference. Bean also has held opponents to a .192 batting average with 32 strikeouts and 11 walks.

Bradley:
       •  Four current Bradley players faced off against Belmont when the two teams met in 2020. Ryan Vogel went 0-2, Connor O'Brien and Peter Hansen each went 1-5 and Carson Husmann went 2-5.
       •  Prior to going 0-3 on Sunday versus Evansville, Jackson Chatterton had a 10-game hitting streak spanning back to April 23rd vs Illinois State. Since April 23rd, Chatterton is hitting .459 with 11 RBIs.
       •  Ryan Vogel is currently on a 5-game hitting streak dating back to May 6th against Indiana State. Vogel also has hits in 10 of his last 11 games, dating back to April 23rd. Since April 23rd, Vogel is hitting .426 with eight RBIs.
       •  In MVC play, Bradley hitters have a .275 batting average, good for fifth in the conference.

Senior Day Festivities
On Saturday, Bradley will honor seven seniors: Dalton Mall, Connor Manthey, Adam Brian, Connor Langrell, John Day, Peter Hansen and Connor O'Brien. Senior Day ceremonies will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m.

MVC Tournament Implications
Entering the weekend, Bradley is 6-18 in conference play and 10th in the team standings. The top eight teams in the MVC standings make the MVC tournament to begin Tuesday, May 23rd. Bradley is two games behind Belmont. A watchful eye will need to be kept on the Illinois State-Valparaiso series at Valparaiso as the outcome of that series greatly impacts Bradley's tournament hopes.

Here's how the Braves get in:
    • Bradley sweeps Belmont
    • Valparaiso wins series against Illinois State

Sweeping Belmont puts Bradley's conference record at 9-18 and Belmont's conference record at 8-19. Valparaiso winning two of three against ISU puts the Redbirds at 8-19, while a sweep puts them at 7-20. An ISU series win or sweep leaves Bradley out of the tournament due to tiebreakers.

How to Watch
