Peoria, Ill -- Logan Delgado,
Ryan Vogel and
Connor O'Brien were honored on the All-Missouri Valley Conference Teams on Monday. Delgado was named to second-team All-MVC as a designated hitter and Vogel and O'Brien were named honorable mentions at outfield and first base, respectively. Vogel was also named to the All-Defensive Team.
Delgado earns all-MVC honors for the first time in his career, earning second-team honors. The junior from Antioch, Illinois enjoyed a career season while hitting in the three-spot in the Bradley lineup. Delgado hit .326 in 43 games, ranking seventh among all MVC hitters, with a .451 on-base percentage, ranking fifth among all MVC hitters. Delgado led the Braves with 15 doubles and tallied the second-most hits on the team with 45. Delgado was one of nine MVC hitters to tally 15 doubles in the entire season and tied two other hitters for the most doubles hit in Valley play with 11.
O'Brien's nomination makes him the 2nd Bradley player to earn all-MVC honors four times, joining
Brendan Dougherty (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021). O'Brien earned all-MVC honors each season it was awarded, receiving first-team honors in 2019, 2021 and 2022 (no awards were distributed in 2020) and an honorable mention in 2023.
Despite missing 12 conference games due to injury, the senior from San Diego, California notched a .333 average in 14 MVC games with three home runs in conference play. Across the entire season, O'Brien hit .276 in 33 games with 10 home runs, tying a career-high. O'Brien also led the Braves in RBIs with 32 and ranked fourth on the team with nine doubles.
Vogel receives all-MVC honors for the second time in his career, receiving an honorable mention for the second consecutive year. The junior from Metamora, Illinois hit .382 across the whole season, the highest batting average among all MVC hitters. Vogel ranked second on the Braves in doubles (14) and RBIs (31) while leading the team in on-base percentage (.459). Vogel also tallied 20 stolen bases, ranking second in the Valley.
Vogel also became the ninth Brave to earn MVC All-Defensive Team honors. Patrolling center field in each of the Braves' 48 games, Vogel did not make an error on 122 chances and recorded six outfield assists. Vogel was one of ten MVC players to not commit an error throughout the season.
