Peoria, Ill -- Ryan Vogel headlined the Bradley baseball team awards, announced on Wednesday.
The junior from Metamora, Illinois received the team's A.J. Robertson MVP Award after hitting .382 and leading the team in hits (73), on-base percentage (.459), total bases (109) and stolen bases (20). Vogel's .382 batting average earned him the Rod Thompson Award for the best batting average on the team. Vogel also collected the Kirby Puckett Gold Glove Award for the third consecutive year. Vogel did not commit an error in 122 chances and added six outfield assists while starting in center field in all 48 games. Vogel's season earned him an All-Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention and a spot on the All-MVC Defensive Team. Vogel is the ninth player in Bradley baseball history to be nominated to the All-MVC Defensive Team.
Logan Delgado won the Tim Trunk Most Improved Player Award. After playing in 36 games across 2021 and 2022, the junior from Antioch, Illinois played in 43 games in 2023, starting in 40. After hitting .165 with four doubles and 24 strikeouts across his first two seasons, Delgado became one of Bradley's top hitters this past season, hitting .326 and leading the team with 15 doubles. He also ranked second on the team in hits (45) and ranked third in RBIs (27). Delgado also improved on his plate discipline walking 26 times compared to 27 strikeouts. Delgado's season earned him All-MVC Second Team honors as the designated hitter.
Connor Langrell earned the Mike Dunne Award, given to the best pitcher on the team. The graduate transfer from Riverview, Florida pitched the best season of his collegiate career. Frequently pitching as Bradley's closer, Langrell posted a 2.25 ERA in 20 innings. Langrell also registered 11 saves, the second most in a single season in Bradley history. Langrell's 11 saves ties him with Eric Scheuermann for fourth in career saves. He also posted a 1.30 WHIP and ended the season averaging 13.05 K/9.
Connor Manthey earned the Troy Guidotti Hustle Award. The defending Tim Trunk Award winner from 2022, the senior from Columbus, Wisconsin appeared in 38 games for the Braves, starting 30. Manthey hit .234 with six doubles in his final Bradley season. 
Vince Tinajero took home the final award, winning the Phil Kaiser Memorial Award as the best teammate. The sophomore from Santa Ana, California played in one game this season, receiving an at-bat against Florida Atlantic. Tinajero also served as one of the bullpen catchers throughout the season.
The Braves finished the 2023 campaign with a 16-32 record with a 7-20 record in conference play.
