Peoria, Ill. – Tiana LoStracco will run in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. The Championships will be held from June 7th-10th.

LoStracco will run in the women's 1500m at the national event. She is scheduled to run at 7:46 p.m. on Thursday, June 8th, in the semifinals. If LoStracco finishes in the top five in her heat or finishes with one of the two fastest times out of all competitors outside of the top five in a heat, LoStracco will qualify for the finals, which will be held on Saturday, June 10th, at 8:12 p.m.

LoStracco is the first Bradley Track & Field athlete to compete in the NCAA Championships since Wilma Nielsen competed in the Championships in 2021 in the women's 800m. LoStracco is the first athlete to compete in the 1500m at the NCAA Championships since Daniel Gagne competed in the men's 1500m in 2017. LoStracco is attempting to become the first women's track and field athlete to win a national championship and become the first across men's and women's track and field to win a national title since Lambert Redd won championships in men's long jump and men's triple jump in 1932.

LoStracco's season has been full of milestones and amazing events. In the outdoor 2023 season, LoStracco broke the women's 1500m school record four times. LoStracco first broke Julia Nielsen's school record with a 4:19.10 in the first outdoor meet of the season in Raleigh, North Carolina, on March 24th. At the Drake Relays one month later, LoStracco broke her own record, running 1500m in 4:18.92. LoStracco held this record for a month, before she shattered it at the NCAA West Preliminaries in Sacramento, California, running a 4:10.80 in the First Round of the women's 1500m. Two days later, in the quarterfinals, LoStracco trimmed the record a little more, cutting it to 4:10.69. LoStracco's 4:10.69 also is the current MVC record in the women's 1500m.

In the outdoor season, LoStracco won two individual conference championships. She won the women's 800m and women's 1500m at the MVC Outdoor Championships roughly two and a half months after winning individual MVC championships in the mile and distance medley relay at the MVC Indoor Championships.

The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be broadcasted on ESPN2 on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.
