PEORIA Ill. – Bradley Volleyball is on the road for the first time this season at the Chippewa Invitational, hosted by Central Michigan. The Braves started 3-0 for the first time since 2015 after a sweep of the CEFCU Invitational. On Friday, Bradley plays St. Louis at 9 a.m. CT and Albany at 4 p.m. Closing out the weekend, the Braves match up with Central Michigan at 2 p.m. CT. 

Matchups

To start the Chippewa Invitational, the Braves play against St. Louis on Friday morning. The Billikens are 2-1 this season with their lone loss coming from Alabama at the Crimson Tide Invitational. Last season, SLU finished 18-13 but fell in the first round of the Atlantic-10 Championship to George Washington. Bradley is 12-13 all-time versus SLU with their last match in 2021. 

On Friday night, the Braves play Albany for the second time in their history. Bradley won their only other meeting by a score of 3-1 in 2006. The Great Danes recorded one win last weekend at the UAlbany Invitational versus Syracuse. In 2022, Albany had a 7-20 record with a fifth place finish in the America East. 

BU matches up with Central Michigan on their home court to conclude the weekend. In the MAC last season, the Chippewas had a fourth place finish with a 20-12 record. They made the semifinals in the MAC Championship but fell to #1 Ball State. Coming into this match, Bradley is 0-3 against CMU but has never traveled to Mt Pleasant, Michigan, in their history.

Sophomore Kendall Minta is coming off an amazing weekend after she was named the CEFCU Invitational MVP. Minta recorded 20 kills, five solo blocks and 10 block assists in three matches last weekend. 

Dru Kuck, a graduate transfer from Alabama, had 23 digs in her BU debut against SIUE. She was named to the All-Invitational team with 43 digs, five service aces and no service errors in the three matches.
