PEORIA Ill. – Bradley Volleyball matches up with Big 10 opponent Illinois on Tuesday night at Renaissance Coliseum. The match against the Fighting Illini starts at 6 PM.
Matchup
Bradley and Illinois have not met since 1988 at Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The Fighting Illini lead the all-time series 9-0 over Bradley.
The last time the Braves played a Big 10 team was in 2022 against #11 Purdue where Bradley lost 0-3. Bradley's last victory over a Big 10 team occurred in 2002 when they defeated Iowa at home 3-0.
Illinois is 4-3 this season in non-conference play. Three of their victories have come against MVC schools: Valparaiso, Illinois State and UIC. Their losses have been to Wichita State, Notre Dame and Oklahoma. The Fighting Illini finished .500 last season with a 15-15 overall record and a 10-10 conference finish.

The Braves are coming off a weekend sweep at the USI Invitational in Evansville, Indiana. They moved to 7-2 overall this season and now hold first place in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Senior Jasmine Green was named the MVP of the USI Invitational, recording 31 kills across the three matches. Karagan Coggin and Dru Kuck were named to the All-Invitational team.
Tendai Titley was named MVC Freshman of the Week on Monday after she recorded 24 kills in 11 sets across three matches in the USI Invitational, highlighted by a career-high-tying 13 kill game against Southern Indiana. She is the first Brave to be named Freshman of the Week since Silan Demirkol earned her second Freshman of the Week honor on Nov. 8, 2021.
Bradley currently ranks 19th in the NCAA with 2.12 aces per set. The team has a .208 hitting percentage while opponents have compiled a .171 percentage. After her first two matches of the season this weekend, Doga Topcicek leads the team with 3.40 kills per set while Titley ranks second with 2.48.
