PEORIA Ill – The 7-3 Bradley Volleyball team is heading west for the Northern Colorado Classic, where they will play three matches over three days.
Matchups
On Thursday afternoon at 4 PM, the Braves will face former MVC opponent Wichita State. Bradley is 18-43 all-time versus the Shockers after their 68-year tenure in the Missouri Valley Conference. Wichita State and Bradley have not played each other since the Shockers' departure from the MVC in 2017. In their non-conference matches, Wichita State holds a 3-4 record, with two wins against Illinois and Illinois State.
Bradley will go up against Northern Colorado on Friday night at 7 PM. Historically versus the Bears, the series is tied 1-1. Last season, Northern Colorado finished with a 22-9 record and were the Big Sky tournament winners. In the NCAA tournament, they fell in the first round to University of San Diego.
To conclude their final match of non-conference play, the Braves will play Omaha on Saturday at 12 PM. In the Summit League last year, the Mavericks lost in the championship game to South Dakota. They secured a spot in the NIVC but fell 3-1 to University of the Pacific. Bradley leads their all-time series 5-2, but they have not played since 2018.

The Braves hold a 7-3 record this season with their most recent loss coming to Illinois on Tuesday night. Bradley sits in second place in the MVC with conference play set to start next weekend.
In their match versus the Fighting Illini, Bradley lost 3-1. Senior Doga Topcicek led the team with 16 kills, the most in a match since last season. Jasmine Green recorded 10 and Kendall Minta had nine.
Bradley is 17th in the NCAA in aces per set with 2.14. Corrie Brown leads the team with 17. With only three matches played, Topcicek leads the team with 3.67 kills per set, while freshman Tendai Titley has 2.36.
