GREELEY, Colo. – Bradley Volleyball was swept this weekend at the Northern Colorado Classic to move to 7-6 this season.
To start off the invitational on Thursday, Bradley faced off with former MVC opponent Wichita State. The Braves suffered their first sweep this season, with scores of 25-21, 25-17 and 25-22.
Senior Jasmine Green led the Braves with 13 kills and a .320 hitting percentage. Karagan Coggin collected three service aces.
Bradley played Northern Colorado on Friday night at Bank of Colorado Arena. BU went down 2-0 but took the third set by a score of 25-22. In the fourth set, Bradley fell 25-18.
Coggin recorded nine kills while Green and Kendall Minta both had eight. Dru Kuck collected 20 digs in the match.
To close out the weekend, Bradley faced Omaha on Saturday afternoon. The Braves were swept by Omaha with scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-18.
Green once again led the team in kills with six. Senior Abby Johnson hit for .417 with five kills. Coggin recorded a solo block and four block assists.
Bradley returns to Renaissance Coliseum on Friday for their first Missouri Valley Conference match against UNI at 6 PM. They play Drake on Saturday at 5 PM.
