KEWADIN, Mich. -- The Bradley women's golf team started its season on a positive note, taking third place in the A-Ga-Ming Invitational hosted by Central Michigan University.
Tournament Recap
In a shotgun start, the Braves commenced play on Sunday, Sept. 3 with the first two rounds. Round three was played on Monday, Sept. 4.
Grace Aromando started the Invitational well, continuing her MVC All-Tournament Success from last season. Aromando shot a 74 in round one (two over par), tied for seventh in the individual standings.
Maria Perakis also shot a 74 in round one.
Senior
Mara Flaherty and freshman
Jillian Cosler started well, shooting 75s in the first round (+3).
In round two, Flaherty and Cosler each scored 74, moving into the top ten.
In the third round, Aromando set a new career-best score, shooting a 70. Her score breaks her old low score of 71, set at the Colonel Classic during the 2022-23 season.
Four Braves finished in the top 20: Aromando finished tied for fifth, Flaherty tied for ninth, Cosler finished right behind Flaherty in 11th and Perakis claimed a 14th-place finish.
Bradley finish third out of 13 teams, coming in behind Abilene Christian and Oakland University. Bradley shot a 887 (+23) across the three day event. In the first round, the Braves shot a 299, followed by a 298 in the second, and a 290 in round three, its best of the weekend.
