PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Men's Basketball took down Evansville on Wednesday night by a score of 86-50.
At halftime, Bradley led Evansville 41-26. The Braves recorded 17 rebounds in the half, six of them on the offensive side. They also had three blocks, six steals and nine fast break points.
Demarion Burch led Bradley with nine points and a perfect 4-for-4 from the field. Connor Hickman tallied seven points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal. Almar Atlason and Malevy Leons both landed two three-pointers.
The Braves topped the Purple Aces with a final score of 86-50 after the second half. Bradley ended the night with 37 total rebounds with 14 fast break points. They also collected 23 points of turnovers and 26 points in the paint.
The defense held the Purple Aces to no second chance points and 23.5% from beyond the arc. Bradley shot 45.2% from the three-point line and 53.3% from the field.
Burch tallied a career high 13 points in the game. Christian Davis also had 13 points with five rebounds and four steals. Leons ended his night with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Atlason and Duke Deen both had 11 points in the game. Darius Hannah landed eight points with seven rebounds.
Looking Ahead
Bradley goes on the road on Saturday to face UIC at 1 PM. They stay on the road to play Southern Illinois on Jan. 17 at 7 PM.
The Braves return home on Jan. 20 for a game with Belmont at 1 PM.
