PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Men's Basketball took down Belmont on Saturday afternoon with a final score of 95-72.
At halftime, the Braves held a 44-34 edge over the Bruins. Bradley shot 53.3% from the field and 7-for-14 from beyond the arc. The Bradley defense produced nine Belmont turnovers for 11 points off turnovers.
Duke Deen led the Braves in points with 11 points, three assists and two rebounds. Deen was 3-for-5 from the three-point line. Connor Hickman and Darius Hannah were close behind with seven points.
Bradley topped Belmont in the second half by a final score of 95-70. The Braves landed 18 three-pointers in the game for second all-time in Bradley history. Overall, they shot 58.1% from the three-point line and 61% from the field. Bradley recorded 25 bench points and 28 total rebounds. They also had 28 points in the paint and eight steals.
Deen ended his afternoon with 27 points and seven three-pointers made. Malevy Leons tallied 17 points in the game with two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Christian Davis collected 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Hickman had 11 points and four assists. Hannah ended the game with nine points and seven rebounds. Almar Atlason and Kyle Thomas both had six points.
Looking Ahead
The Braves stay at home this week for a game with Murray State on Wednesday at 6 PM. They go back on the road on Jan. 27 to face Indiana State for the second time this season at 5 PM CT. On Jan. 31, they play Northern Iowa at 7 PM at Carver Arena.
