PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Men's Basketball topped Murray State on Wednesday night by a final score of 71-63.
The Braves held a 44-34 lead after halftime. They tallied 22 points in the paint with 11 bench points. Defensively, Bradley had four blocks and six steals. Overall, they shot 56.3% from the field and held the Racers to 46.9%.
Malevy Leons, Duke Deen and Christian Davis all collected nine points. Kyle Thomas ended the first half with three blocks and Darius Hannah recorded eight points, three rebounds and three steals.
Bradley defeated Murray state with a final score of 71-63. The Braves finished with 32 rebounds in the game with 14 induced turnovers from the Racers. They also recorded 34 points in the paint. In the game, Bradley shot 50% from the field.
Leons led both teams with 17 points including seven rebounds, two assists and a block. Deen had 13 points with five rebounds. Connor Hickman contributed 12 points, three rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Hannah tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, three steals, two blocks and one assist. Christian Davis was also in double figures with 12 points and five rebounds.
Looking Ahead
After their two-game homestand, the Braves go back on the road on Saturday to face Indiana State at 5 PM CT. They return home on Jan. 31 to play Northern Iowa at 7 PM. On Feb 3, Bradley will travel down I-74 to play rival Illinois State at 1 PM.
