TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Bradley Men's Basketball fell to Indiana State on Saturday night by a final score of 86-95 in overtime.
The Sycamores held a 33-29 lead at halftime over the Braves. It was a defensive battle in the first half with both teams shooting below 50% from the field. Bradley held the rebounding edge with 23 to 17 for Indiana State.
Almar Atlason led Bradley in the first half with 10 points and two made three-pointers. Duke Deen tallied seven points and Christian Davis led the Braves in rebounds with five.
The Braves came back in the second half but it ended with a 78-78 tie to force overtime. Bradley shot 71% from the field and 77% from the three-point line in the half. Deen recorded 19 points in the half to bring his total to 26 in the game before the extra period.
In overtime, the Braves fell by a final score of 86-95. Bradley had 34 rebounds in the game with eight on the offensive glass. They shot 51% from the field and 48% from beyond the arc with 12 made three-pointers.
Overall, Deen had 31 points for a new career-high with the Braves. He was 6-for-9 from the three-point line and had four rebounds and four assists. Deen's 30-point game is Bradley's first 30 point game of the season for a player. Leons collected 18 points and six rebounds.
Connor Hickman tallied 13 points in the game. Darius Hannah had 12 points and seven rebounds. Atlason was also in double figures with 10 points.
Looking Ahead
Bradley comes back home on Jan. 31 to face Northern Iowa at 7 PM. They go back on the road to play Illinois State on Feb. 3 at 1 PM. The Braves will stay on the road on Feb. 7 to play Evansville.
