VALPARAISO, Ind. – Bradley Men's Basketball took down Valparaiso on Wednesday night on the road by a score of 86-61.
The Braves led the Beacons 44-29 at halftime. Bradley shot 63% from the three-point line, sinking seven three-pointers. They also recorded 27 rebounds in the half, nine on the offensive side.
Connor Hickman tallied 21 points in the first half with five made three-pointers in seven attempts. Off the bench, Ahmet Jonovic collected eight points and six rebounds. Christian Davis also had eight points in the first half.
Bradley defeated Valparaiso in the second half with a score of 86-61. They shot 48% from the field and 42% from beyond the arc. Bradley also had 32 points in the paint and 19 second chance points. The Braves recorded 40 total rebounds with 14 on the offensive glass. On the defensive side, they had 13 steals.
Hickman ended his night with 28 points and six made three-point shots. He was 10-for-16 from the field with five rebounds and three steals. Jonovic had a career-high in points with 15 with six rebounds. Davis recorded 12 points and nine rebounds for the Braves.
Duke Deen tallied 10 points and eight assists against the Beacons. Darius Hannah also had 10 points with four rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals. Malevy Leons ended the game with eight points, seven rebounds and three steals. He also became the second player in Bradley history to record 100 career steals and 100 career blocks.
Looking Ahead
The Braves return home on Saturday, Jan. 6, to play Missouri State at 3 PM.
They stay home to face Evansville on Jan. 10 at 7 PM. They go back on the road on Jan. 13 to play UIC.
