PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University volleyball athlete Maria Drapp has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Drapp was honored after tallying 54 assists, 33 digs and seven aces in three home matches against Evansville, Indiana State and Illinois State.

The freshman from Cincinnati posted three double-double performances, beginning the weekend with a 14-assist/10-dig performance in a three-set sweep over Evansville on Friday and notching 20 assists and 11 digs in a sweep over Indiana State on Saturday. Drapp closed with a 20-assist/12-dig performance in a five-set defeat against Illinois State. Drapp also recorded six service aces in the Indiana State victory, becoming the first Brave to tally at least six service aces in a game since Carlee Camlin tallied six aces against SIU in 2021. Drapp's contributions helped the Braves notch conference wins four and five for the program's best conference start since 2002.

Drapp's strong homestand and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
