PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University cross-country athlete
Jayde Rosslee has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Rosslee was honored after placing second out of 265 runners in the Men's 8K Red Race at the Bradley Pink Classic.
Jayde Rosslee, the sophomore from South Africa, ran the fastest Pink Classic time by a Bradley runner in program history, finishing the race in 23:46.08, 0.12 seconds faster than the previous program-best time. Rosslee paced the Braves to an eighth-place team finish out of 29 teams.
Earlier in the week, Rosslee earned his first MVC runner of the week honor in Cross Country and Track & Field for his historic run. Due to his prolific success on the course and in the classroom, Rosslee has earned the this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
