PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley University hosted the Midwest Regional, with the women's team placing sixth and the men's squad taking home seventh place.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Sheppard led the way for the women's team, placing 24th on the leaderboard. Senior
Abigail Hancock took 29th, while Sophomore
Anna Perry earned 34th place. Freshman
Eimear McCarroll recorded a new personal record with a time of 20:56.3, taking 53rd place for the squad.
On the men's side, Sophomore
Jayde Rosslee was one spot shy of a medal, leading his team while earning himself 26th place. The Junior duo of
Michael Rebello and
Caleb Lind crossed the finish line at the home course next for Bradley, earning 35th and 42nd place respectively.

NOTES
This was the first time the Braves hosted the regional since 2018. On the women's side, Freshman Leah Jeruto won the race with a time of 19:42.87. Oklahoma State took first as a team, they took second the last time the regional was raced at Newman. Minnesota took second place, earning the second nationals team spot.
Over on the men's side, Oklahoma State dominated, with four runners in the top seven, including the top two finishers. The second-place team was Iowa State, who had runners place third and fourth on the leaderboard. The runner-up Cyclones won the meet at Bradley's last regional back in 2018.
NEXT UP...
Despite neither team qualifying for nationals, individual Bradley runners may still compete in Madison, WI next Saturday.
