Peoria, Ill. - The Bradley Braves swept the Murray State Racers and the Belmont Bruins to clinch a spot in the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
Match One
The Braves swept the Racers in three sets on Friday. Corrie Brown led the team in service aces with three while totaling 13 assists. Iva Popovic led the team in kills with 14 while putting up 10 digs and two service aces. Irene Mostardini led the team with 17 digs to give her 500+ for her collegiate career and had two service aces.
Match Two
Bradley extended their winning streak to three with a 3-0 sweep over Belmont. Beste Ayhan put up a season-high seven blocks along with putting up four kills. Silan Demirkol tied for the lead in kills with 11 with four blocks and nine digs. Maria Drapp led the team with 23 assists and tied for the team lead in service aces with four alongside Popovic who totaled 11 kills as well. The Braves posted 22 service aces across both matches on the weekend.
