About the Braves
The Braves return six of their eight top scorers from a season ago and over 60% of their points, rebounds, assists and steals. On paper BU is led by two preseason first-team selections in 5th-year point guard Duke Deen (MVC preseason player of the year) and 5th-year forward Darius Hannah. Bradley also landed Zek Montgomery on the All-MVC second team following his return to the Braves after a year away with the Rhode Island Rams men's basketball team. Bradley is coached by Brian Wardle, who enters his 10th season at the helm. Wardle last season entered the Braves' top-5 list for wins with 157 and following tomorrow's contest, Wardle could break a tie for 4th with Jim Les for total games coached at Bradley with 295.
About the Redhawks
Southeast Missouri State enters the 2024-25 season after a 9-22 (4-14 OVC) campaign in 2023-24. SEMO on paper will be led by returning scoring leader #1 Rob Martin who collected 11.1 PPG last season. SEMO brings a ton of height into tomorrow night's contest with three junior forwards who are listed at 7-feet tall. As a whole the forward group is comparable to Bradley with SEMO's forwards averaging 6-8.5, 234 lbs and Bradley at 6-8, 229 lbs. Brad Korn is the head man for the Redhawks and he owns a career record of 53-73.
