PEORIA, IL -- The Bradley Softball Team helped out at the Western Avenue Greenway Project this past weekend. This marks the second year that the program has participated in this initiative. The event helps clean up local areas, as this weekend they cleaned up a park less than a mile from campus. 
News crews from 25 News and Central Illinois Proud got to speak with some of the student-athletes and team members on site, as they reflected on the impact of their help, "They worked with good humor, steady labor, and a wonderful sense of camaraderie, perhaps the most noticeable trait… I can't say enough about the individuals' dedication and the team's effort.  It was a joy to work with the students." 
Head Coach Sarah Willis said, "The Western Avenue Greenway Project is an important community event. The project targets the Bradley community and we are happy to help refresh and cleanup our backyard. We have a lot of pride in our community and we look forward to it every year. Great project for a great community. "
