Duke Deen has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Deen was honored after averaging 15.5 points per game and five rebounds per game in victories against San Francisco and Canisius.
The fifth-year senior from Shreveport, Louisiana, shot 52.6 percent from the field in Bradley's two home victories this past week, including 64.3 percent from three-point range. Deen led the Braves in scoring and rebounding in the victory against San Francisco, tallying 19 points and seven rebounds against the Dons. Against Canisius, Deen became the 54th Brave in program history to tally 1,000 points with the program with a 12-point performance.
Deen's strong performance and academic success have earned him this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
