Bradley Baseball wins game one against Western Kentucky

Box Score PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley Braves Baseball team earned a win in their first game of the 2024 season, defeating Western Kentucky University, 5-2.

Redshirt-Sophomore Noah Edders got the game one start and had a strong outing. Edders threw 89 pitches in seven innings, only allowing six hits and one run with three strikeouts.

The seventh inning brought in three of the Brave's five runs. Senior Jackson Chatterton doubled to left field, scoring two. In the next at-bat, Junior Timmy O'Brien hit a double two right, scoring Chatterton. 

O'Brien, Junior Michael Mylott and Junior Tyrese Johnson all had a two-hit game, with Chatterton and O'Brien each earning two RBIs.

The Braves will play Western Kentucky for game two on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green, KY. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
