CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. – Bradley Men's Basketball was defeated by Northern Iowa on Sunday night by a final score of 63-74.
Bradley was down 26-44 at the end of the first half to UNI. They recorded 12 points in the paint in the half.
Connor Hickman tallied 11 points in the half after he was 4-for-6 from the field. Malevy Leons had five points, two rebounds and a steal in the first half.
The Braves fell to Northern Iowa with a final score of 63-74 after the second half. Bradley outscored UNI in the second half 37-30 and crawled back to within four points 11 minutes into the half. They finished with 28 rebounds, six steals and two blocks in the game.
"UNI was a better team today," head coach Brian Wardle said. "They came out and were real physical with us offensively. We knew what they were going to do defensively, they just executed very well."

Hickman led the game with 22 points after he was 8-for-16 from the field. Leons was second in the game with 16 points and scored nine straight Bradley points in the second half. He added five rebounds and two steals.
"We let [fouls] take us out of what we do in the first half and a little bit in the second half," Hickman said.

Duke Deen collected 11 points with three rebounds and two steals. Darius Hannah was also in double figures with 10 points and five rebounds. Christian Davis added five rebounds, two points and a block.
"We got back multiple times," Leons said. "We know we can do it, it's just not ideal. [We] just want to be good from the beginning and play a full game."

Looking Ahead
The Braves only have four games left of the MVC regular season. They stay on the road to play Missouri State on Feb. 21 at 7 PM. They return home to play Illinois State on Feb. 24 at 7 PM and Southern Illinois on Feb. 28 at 7 PM. Bradley plays their final regular season game at Drake on Mar. 3.
