PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley Braves Baseball team earned a huge win over Rollins College, defeating them 12-3.
The Braves had 14 hits, with Sophomore
Beau Durbin recording a three-hit day. Senior
Ryan Vogel, Senior
Jackson Chatterton, Junior
Tyrese Johnson, Senior
Logan Delgado and Freshman
Isaac Sobieszczyk all had two hits for the Braves. Chatterton's two hits were both doubles.
The biggest swing of the day game in the top of the first, when Vogel, Bradley's leadoff hitter, in his second at-bat of the morning, hit a grand slam, making it an 8-0 Bradley lead before Rollins ever came to the plate.
No Braves matched Vogels' four RBIs, but Sobieszczyk and Junior
Travis Lutz both had two RBIs for Bradley. Lutz hit the first triple of his career.
Bradley faced nine different pitchers from Rollins. Braves Junior
Anthony Potthoff pitched the first four for Bradley, the bulk of the day, earning two strikeouts.
