PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Volleyball added Iva Popovic to the 2024 roster as an NJCAA All-American from New Mexico Junior College.
Popovic comes to the Braves as an NJCAA Second Team All-American and was named the WJCAC Offensive Player of the Year. In her 2023 sophomore season, she helped lead the Thunderbirds to their most wins in program history after they went 30-8 overall. She was named as a NJCAA First Team All-American during the 2022 season as a freshman. In her career with the Thunderbirds, she had 1,022 career kills, 778 digs and 31 career double-doubles.

"Iva is dynamic and aggressive," head coach Alicia Williams said. "She is used to carrying the load offensively, as she has had much success the last two years at New Mexico Junior College. We will look for Iva to bring some strength to our attacking game in the fall."

She resides from Belgrade, Serbia, as an outside hitter. Her season highs include 21 kills, 24 digs and five blocks. In the Region V Tournament Consolation Finals in 2023, New Mexico Junior College matched up with New Mexico Military Institute. Now-Bradley player Vitoria Oliveira had 14 kills in that game with 13 blocks and eight digs. Popovic tallied 15 kills and eight digs in the 3-2 Thunderbird win.
