Box Score PEORIA, Ill. -- After a hard fight, the Lions came out on top of the Braves, 11-9.

Lindenwood struck first, scoring two in the top of the first. The Braves answered in the bottom of the first, as Senior Ryan Vogel was hit by a pitch, advancing and scoring on a single by Senior Logan Delgado. Junior Timmy O'Brien doubled later in the inning to bring home Sophomore Beau Durbin, tying the game at two.

The Braves held off the Lions in the second and third, as the patient eye from Junior Tyrese Johnson earned him a walk, later in the inning scoring on a O'Brien single. Bradley exited the third inning up, 3-2.

Lindenwood answered, scoring one in the fourth, fifth, and four in the sixth inning. Bradley answered in the bottom of the sixth inning with a solo home run from Junior Nick Hosie, making it an 8-4 game.

The Braves were able to quiet down the Lions, holding them in the seventh and eighth inning. In the bottom of the eighth, Junior Ryan Taylor hit a triple, scoring the next at-bat on a Vogel single. Durbin came up next, hitting a double to score Vogel. In three batters, the Braves cut the lead in half, going into the ninth down two.

After a three-run top of the ninth, the Braves answered with a three-run bottom thanks to a solo home run by O'Brien and a two-run shot by Hoise, his second of the night. However, that was not enough to earn the win, as the Braves were two runs short, falling 11-9.

Five Braves had multi-hit games, with O'Brien having three hits and three RBI, as Hoise had two hits, both coming as home runs and three RBI as well. The Braves outhit the Lions, 14-12. As a team, Bradley had five walks, all from different players.

Sophomore Cooper Chinn pitched the majority of the frames for the Braves, striking out five in 3.2 innings. As a team, the Braves threw 11 strikeouts.
