Box Score PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley Braves Baseball team lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes, 11-6.
Junior
Timmy O'Brien started things off for the Braves, hitting a home run in the top of the first inning.
The Braves were down 3-1 entering the top of the fourth, as Junior
Cole Luckey brought a run home of a fielder's choice. Later in the inning, Junior
Nick Hosie hit a three-run homer to give the Braves a 5-3 lead.
In the top of the fifth inning, O'Brien hit his second home run of the game, extending the Braves lead by one.
The Bradley offense was held at six runs, as the Hawkeyes fought back, scoring eight runs in the last three innings.
Senior
Jackson Chatterton was walked twice. Besides O'Brien and Hosie's home runs, the only other extra-base hit for the Braves came off a double by Sophomore
Beau Durbin.
Sophomore
Brayden Marks got the start for the Braves, striking out three batters in the first two innings. Junior
Jack Stellano pitched the next three innings, not allowing any runs or walks.
