Braves Volleyball Add AVCA All-American Elaina Wamhoff

PEORIA, Ill. – Braves Volleyball welcomes senior setter Elaina Wamhoff from William Smith College. 

Wamhoff was an AVCA All-American honorable mention in her two seasons with the Herons. She was also honored with AVCA All-Region first team, All-Liberty League first team, CSC Academic All-District and Liberty League All-Academic. 

"Elaina will bring us depth and experience in the setter role," head coach Alicia Williams said. "She has a quick release, good tempo and exceptional defense. She also has the ability to be a leader. We are excited to welcome her to our family!"

In the 2023 season, she averaged 8.52 assists per set, 1.77 digs per set, 1.15 kills per set and 0.6 aces per set. She helped guide the Herons to a 15-10 record and 6-2 Liberty League record this past season.

Before her two years at Hobart and Williams, she spent one year at University of Albany. She appeared in 24 matches as a freshman with the Great Danes. She was second on the team with 365 assists and 4.29 assists per set.

She ended her high school career at Saint Bede Academy with 2,283 assists, 248 kills and 691 digs. She is a native of La Moille, Illinois, and was named to the 2021 Illinois Prep Volleyball All-State second team and 2021 News-Gazette All-State first team.

Wamhoff joins the Braves as the third setter on the roster.
