PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley Braves Baseball lost to Southern Illinois University, 12-4.
The Braves offense was off to a hot start, scoring three runs in the second inning. Freshman
Isaac Sobieszczyk hit a two-RBI double, as Junior
Cole Luckey brought him home off an RBI double.
The Salukis offense didn't answer until the bottom of the third, as they turned the 3-0 Braves lead into a one-run lead of their own.
In the top of the seventh, the Braves tied things back up with an RBI single from Sophomore
Beau Durbin.
The game remained tied until the bottom of the eighth when Southern Illinois dropped an eight-run inning.
Luckey was the only Brave to record multiple hits, as Luckey and Sobieszczyk both hit a double, the only two with an extra-base hit.
Junior
Travis Lutz pitched the first 7.1 frames, recording four strikeouts.
