Box Score PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley Braves Baseball team's ninth-inning rally fell one pitch short, as the UIC Flames notched a 4-3 victory.
UIC led 2-0 entering the bottom of the third inning. Sophomore
Beau Durbin hit an RBI single to cut the lead in half.
As the Flames extended the lead to four in the top of the fourth, Junior
Michael Mylott hit a sacrifice fly to score one, making it a 4-2 game.
No more offense game until the bottom of the ninth, as Redshirt-Sophomore
Jack Lincoln walked. Two Bradley batters proceeded Lincoln by getting out. With two outs, the rally started. Senior
Ryan Vogel singled. Durbin hit an RBI single, moving the runners to the corners. Junior
Timmy O'Brien walked, loading the bases. Then on full count, strike three was called to end the Braves's night.
Durbin had three hits with a double and two singles, as Senior
Jackson Chatterton had two hits, a single and a double.
Sophomore
Brayden Marks kept the Braves close the last four innings, as he allowed no hits, two walks and two strikeouts in his scoreless outing.
