Peoria, Ill- The Bradley Men's Basketball team will compete in the 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational.
The Braves will travel to Myrtle Beach to participate in the sixth annual tournament at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. The tournament will be a three-day event being played on November 21st, 22nd, and 24th. All games will be presented across the ESPN platforms. The mid-season tournament features eight teams, including three schools that participated in the 2024 NIT: Bradley (Missouri Valley), Princeton (IVY), and South Florida (American Atlantic). The five other teams are Middle Tennessee (Conference USA), Texas State (Sun Belt), Ohio (Mid-American), Portland (West Coast), and Wright State (Horizon League).
The tournament is filled with highly talented schools with recent success seen in their respective programs.
Princeton captured the 2024 Ivy League regular-season championship and has competed in the post-season the past three years, highlighted by a NCAA "Sweet 16" appearance.
South Florida won the 2024 American Athletic Conference regular-season title while setting a school record for wins in a season under first-year coach Aamir Abdur-Rahim. USF advanced to the second round of the NIT.
Texas State is coached by Terrance Johnson, who in four seasons has guided the Bobcats to 72 wins, two Sun Belt regular-season titles and a 2022 NIT berth.
Middle Tennessee is appearing in their second Myrtle Beach Invitational after placing seventh in 2019. The Blue Raiders have advanced to the semi-finals in the last three Conference USA post-season tournaments.
Ohio has posted a 98-60 record the past five seasons under coach Jeff Boals.
Portland advanced to the second round of the 2024 West Coach post-season before being eliminated by San Francisco.
Wright State finished this past season with an 18-14 record and finished fourth in the Horizon League.
Past Myrtle Beach Invitational champions include: UCF (2018), Baylor (2019), Utah State (2021), UMass (2022), and Liberty (2023). Two schools in the 2023 Myrtle Beach Invitational competed in the postseason, with the College of Charleston and Vermont advancing to the NCAA tournament.
