PEORIA, Ill. – Get to know more about Bradley Soccer Dominic Woolley.

Woolley, originally from Loughborough, England, is one of the newest additions to the 2024 roster.

He started playing soccer at the age of four. He played for Barrow Town from ages four to eight. After that, Woolley played for Quorn FC for one year. He joined Burton Albion when he was nine and played for them for seven years. Before joining Bradley, Woolley played for Murray State College for two years, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.

In his free time, Woolley enjoys playing darts and trying new sports.

"It is a new country as well for me, there are so many opportunities to do things which maybe I have not done in the past, something like pickleball or something that I have never seen that sport before, just doing that is interesting to me," Woolley said.

Growing up, Woolley watched the Premier League and became a fan of The Reds, a team he follows up to this day.

"I am a Liverpool fan. I have been a Liverpool fan since I was four or five," Woolley said. "Honestly, when I started supporting them, we were not very good. The main reason I started supporting was [because of] Gerrard and Torres as well. I just loved watching them. I have always loved Liverpool,"

Woolley, a center midfielder, draws inspiration from players who excel in the same position.

"I would say [Steven] Gerrard was always my role model because I play in his position. I am a similar height to him," Woolley said. "Now I am a center midfielder, I feel like there are not many better role models to have than Gerrard, so definitely look up to him and his game,"

Despite the obstacles Woolley faced in 2023 due to an injury, his resilience and commitment to recovery allowed him to bounce back sooner than anticipated.

"I tore my ACL in January of 2023, I had the surgery in March 2023, and then I played my first game five months later in August," Woolley said. "It is a horrible injury, but you can come back to a level and exceed your previous level. I think a lot of it is just mentality. If mentally you do not believe you can do something, you probably will not be able to do it, so keep believing,"

Woolley is excited about making an impact with the Braves this season. He shared his favorite thing about Bradley.

"I would say I just like how nice everyone is. Everyone is very welcoming. I like the infrastructure. It is a nice campus, and all the buildings are modern. I like how much effort the school puts into making sure athletes can succeed," Woolley said.

Woolley shared his personal and team goals for his first season under Tim Regan.

"In terms of the team, I genuinely believe we have the talent in the squad to go far this season. I am not going to put like a main goal because anything can happen in the conference tournament, but I think doing ourselves proud is the main thing, and making sure that as a team, we do everything we can to try and win the conference,"
