Matchup History
Bradley will begin the UCI/Adidas Invitational on Friday night against the Portland Pilots. The Pilots began their season on August 30th at the Bethune-Cookman Bash at the Beach where they went undefeated, beating Stetson, Bethune-Cookman, and Manhattan. This will be the first time the Braves and the Pilots will face off against each other.
The Braves continue the weekend against the Idaho State Bengals. The Bengals began their 2024 season last week at the Idaho State Tournament where they went 2-1 with wins over Seattle and CSUN while losing to San Diego State. Bradley has faced off against the Bengals twice in 1989, losing both matchups, one in three sets and the other in four.
Bradley will finish the tournament on Sunday against the UC Irvine Anteaters. The Anteaters started their 2024 season on August 30 at the LOBO Invitational where they went 2-1 with victories over New Mexico and North Dakota while losing to Tulane in five sets. The Bradley Braves have not faced off against UC Irvine in their history either, so this will be the first time these schools will meet.
Bradley Notes
The Braves started their season at the CEFCU Invitational with a sweep over St. Thomas yet lost their next two matchups against Southern Indiana and DePaul to end with a 1-2 record.
