Bradley Athletics Hosts Inaugural Night Out with the Braves

Peoria, IL. - Last Friday evening, Bradley Athletics welcomed over 100 local children ages 5-12 to the first-ever Night Out with the Braves inside Renaissance Coliseum. This event, sponsored by the Bielfeldt Foundation in partnership with the Power of Sport Initiative, provided an unforgettable evening of fun, learning, and community connection.

The BOLD for Life program is centered on empowering student-athletes through development, service and leadership. "Community outreach is at the heart of what we do, and this unique opportunity highlights how sports can bring people together and create a meaningful and lasting impact in our community," said Peter Davis, Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and Student Development.

Bradley's 200+ student-athletes, alongside the beloved mascot Kaboom!, hosted a variety of activities featuring all Division 1 sports programs. Those in attendance had the chance to meet with the student-athletes while learning important transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, resilience, and leadership. This impactful event used sport as a platform to inspire the next generation of Bradley Braves and strengthen ties within the local community.

"This transformational experience brought our student-athletes and local youth together in an inspiring way," said Dr. Chris Reynolds, Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics. "We extend a special thank you to the Bielfeldt Foundation for helping make this memorable night possible."
