PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University men's basketball athlete Christian Davis has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Davis was honored after scoring 29 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in victories against Belmont and Illinois State.

The redshirt senior from Denver, Colorado scored 19 points and tallied 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season, pacing the Braves to a road victory against Belmont on Jan. 21. Davis followed up with a 10-point, seven-rebound performance in a home victory against Illinois State on Jan. 25. Davis shot 47.6 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range while going six-for-six on free throws in the victories.

Davis' strong performance and academic success have earned him this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
