ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Carter Stevenson has been named Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after placing tied for fourth at the Dolenc Invitational over Sept. 29-30, per a release by the Valley on Thursday.
Stevenson continued his success at Gateway National Golf Links, as the junior from Marquette Heights, Ill., tied his career-low single-round and 54-hole score at the tournament. Stevenson carded a third-round 66 and scored 205 for the tournament, lowering his season scoring average to 71.77 strokes per round. Stevenson has golfed nine rounds at the Madison, Ill., course in his Bradley career and is averaging 68.67 strokes per round, golfing six rounds under 70. Bradley finished tied for ninth with a score of 848, the second-lowest in program history. The Braves' final-round score of 276 was a new program record, surpassing the old mark of 277 from the 2016-17 season.
This is Stevenson's first MVC Men's Golfer of the Week award of his career and the program's first since Sept. 26, 2024.
