Box Score 2 Peoria, Ill. – The Bradley Braves bounced back in a big way, defeating Murray State in four sets on Friday and coming back against Belmont to complete the reverse sweep on Saturday.
Match One – Murray State
The Braves came out firing against the Racers, recording a .652 hitting percentage as a team in the first set, and carrying that momentum to take home a four-set victory (25-18, 18-25, 25-21, 25-23). Mairen Mannon led the offense with 20 kills and a team-leading three blocks while posting a .633 hitting percentage on the day. Tendai Titley recorded another double-double, posting 19 kills on a .425 hitting percentage, 17 digs, and two service aces. Maria Drapp continued her dominance after her 100-assist weekend last week, tallying 45 assists along with a service ace, seven kills, and three blocks. Irene Mostardini led the team defensively with 22 digs.
Match Two – Belmont
Bradley struggled early in their second match, dropping the first two sets, but momentum shifted early in the third set, allowing the Braves to pull off the reverse sweep to win in five sets (16-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18, 15-10). Titley and Gracie Furlong each notched a double-double in this one. Titley had 15 kills on a .333 hitting percentage, 14 digs, a service ace, and three blocks. Furlong led the team offensively, posting 17 kills while also totaling 12 digs. Drapp set a new collegiate high in assists with 58, taking over the highest single-game total in the MVC this season, along with totaling two service aces. Mostardini led the team in digs with 22 once again.
