Women's Golf Hosts Fifth Annual Coyote Creek Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Women's Golf hosts the fifth annual Coyote Creek Classic this weekend at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Bartonville.

Opponents (6-team field): Butler, Evansville, Prairie View A&M, Lindenwood, Oakland (MI)

Play begins on the par-72 course at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, via a shotgun start. After 36 continuous holes on Sunday, the final round will take place on Monday, Oct. 6, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

LAST TIME AT COYOTE CREEK
Last year's tournament saw Bradley sweep the team and individual titles for the first time in the history of the Coyote Creek Classic. Bradley placed first by 23 strokes over second-place Evansville. Jillian Cosler took home her first of two titles during the season, finishing at 224 (+8) and prevailing after a three-hole playoff. Peyton Coburn, a part of that playoff, finished second, while Allison Pacocha (T4), Brooke Deebs (T8) and Maria Perakis (T8) all finished in the top 10. All eight golfers placed in the top 20.

RECAPPING THE DIANE THOMASON INVITATIONAL
The Braves placed tied for 10th at the Diane Thomason Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa. Caroline McConnell led all Braves with a tied-for-13th-place finish at 227 (+11), marking her third top-15 finish in as many tournaments. The finish earned McConnell another MVC Golfer of the Week honor, her third of the season.

COYOTE CREEK CLASSIC HISTORY & FUN FACTS

The Coyote Creek Classic, first held on Oct. 9-10, 2021, marked the first Central-Illinois-hosted home tournament for Bradley Women's Golf in over four years.
The Braves have finished in the top five of every Coyote Creek Classic – finishing in fifth (2021), third (2022), and first (2023 & 2024).
A different player has won the tournament in each of its first four editions – Emma McMyler of Xavier (2021), Natalie Hooper of Western Illinois (2022), Jinyoung Yun of Illinois State (2023) and Jillian Cosler of Bradley (2024).
